One of the most exciting experiences I had during my South American tour was going on a special tour of the Itaipu Dam. As the daughter of an engineer I couldn’t miss out on an opportunity to visit one of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World. Getting to tour the breath taking architecture of the largest hydroelectric facility in the world was an incredible moment for me. I can absolutely understand why this larger than life place is a wonder of the world and why it’s something that is a once in a lifetime experience.
